Care & Support
St Mary's and Sacred Hearts provide a Holy Communion service of the home on a monthly basis. Other religious visits can be arranges as appropriate or on request.
- We encourage residents to personalise their rooms on admission. This can include keepsakes, mementoes and personal pieces of furniture, pictures etc.
- Relatives and friends of the residents are encouraged to visit and there are no restrictions on visiting hours.
- The manager keeps in regular contact with relatives and is always available to discuss any problems/concerns that may arise.
- The home operates a "key worker" system. This means that all residents are allocated a member of staff who will assist them in buying small items that they may require such as toiletries etc.
Staff & Training
- All of our staff at Westcroft are fully trained to carry out their respective duties.
- There is a trained nurse (RGN) on duty at the nursing home 24 hours a day and they are backed up by a range of carers and domestic staff, who work different shifts during the day and night.
- Trained staff (RGN's) regularly attend courses which are designed to keep their training up-to-date and carers are all offered the opportunity to gain their N.V.Q qualifications in care at either level 2, 3 or 4.
